We suffer “dumsor” too - Second lady

Second lady of Ghana, Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur, has said that the power crisis the country is experiencing will not be solved if it is always associated with politics.

She revealed during an interview with Joy Fm’s “Home Affairs” programme, that her family also experiences the erratic power outages and therefore shares in the public’s frustrations, describing the outages as “not pleasant”.

She admitted that “as a country grows, things should be built to take into consideration the numbers that are growing” adding that “as a country that is where we have failed”.

Mrs Amisah-Arthur was of the opinion that this is not the worst power crisis the country has endured, pointing out that during the Kufuor regime the country faced a similar crisis.

“Unfortunately, at a point in time, something gets worse and whoever is in charge is blamed,” she said, responding to criticism levelled against the current government about the worsening power crisis.

Mrs Amissah-Arthur agreed that though progress is slow, she believes that something is being done about the situation and that government will soon “bridge the gap” while permanent measures are put in place to resolve the problem once and for all.

How can this woman tell such flagrant lies did any one experience a dumsor that lasted for three days straight during Kufuors time? NDC has been in power for more than six year isnt that a long enough time to fix what ever Kufour couldn't fix? why do these nincompoops always want to play the blame game? and who gives a shit if you suffer dumsor too?
