Ghana as a country keeps growing but typical of every country, it has it’s nightmares. There are some things that have happened in the past or are still happening that we don’t know their cause, not even the people who are employed to handle such cases have a clue.

Now let’s look at some scary unsolved mysteries in Ghana.

1. Where is Castro?

astro left us a year ago and till date, nobody can confirm whether he is still alive or dead. The fact that his body hasn’t been found yet means we can’t confirm he’s dead. It has remained a mystery as people in the know claim that if he indeed drowned, his body would have been found by now. The argument on whether Castro is still alive or dead continues even a year after.

2. Who/What killed Atta Mills?

We all know Atta Mills died of natural causes but most people closer to people in power claim the opposite. Some say he was misled to think he was fit whilst he wasn’t and this may have killed the former head of state. Some say there are more inside information but the big question still remains, Who or What Killed Prof. J.E. Atta Mills.

3. The missing baby At Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital

A hospital may be a well-kept professional area of health and just like every institution petty mistakes happen but baby theft is a bit over the top for a renowned hospital like KATH.  A baby was stolen at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and till date, no one knows what exactly happened nor who stole the baby. The mother was compensated with money, but is it fair?

Shamo Quaye, the Hearts Of Oak player died a very mysterious death, some attribute it to spiritualism in football but the incident doesn’t add up. Shamo Quaye was hit in the face with a ball and died two days after. Quite bizarre right?

. Who Killed Fennec Okyere?

Kwaw Kese’s manager was in a legal dispute with a couple of industry folks in which he received death threats, Fennec Okyere died after robbers attacked him in his house. Many have attributed his death to the legal dispute he had with industry contenders like Obour, Bulldog etc. Bulldog was later arrested in connection with murder but was released when police had no evidence against him.

In the politics realm, it is almost impossible for a newcomer to emerge as a winner. Mahama obviously had no plans of becoming a President but after Atta Mills’ demise, he had no choice than to rule the nation. When Atta Mills’ time ended, he stood for Presidency and won. Many were shocked as to whether he rigged or was favored. The opposition party smelt unfairness, took it to court but Mahama still won.

Experts from abroad have been flown to study the causes of the fire outbreaks that target companies and markets but nothing concrete has been told to the people. Some say the fire is deliberately caused by people who owe banks and financial institutions in order to get rid of their debts.

Ghanaians love football but it doesn’t mean we eat and breath football. Whilst the nation and it’s people suffer from high unemployment rate, erratic power cuts, bad roads, no schools for pupils in remote areas and unavailability of clean water, huge sums are invested into football by the government which usually backfires on us. For the past few years, football has gained the country absolutely nothing as the players have failed to excel. For instance Ghana airlifted $3M cash to Brazil to pay the footballers, this made headlines in major media outlets. This and many more football brouhaha’s are mysteries to everybody.

Somewhere around the year 2000, there were several reports of killing of females especially around Mataheko and Dansoman areas of Accra. The killings were attributed to sacrifices to be made by political party leaders concerning elections. Till date we don’t know what was causing the deaths and who was behind them as nobody was arrested for the killings.

KKD after many years of building a strong reputation for himself, found his hard-earned image collapsed by a rape case. KKD claims it was consensual sex, the victim claims she was raped. In most cases of rape, females are highly favored by the jury especially if there was intercourse in the first place. The girl has discontinued the case but the state has taken over the case to put KKD where he belongs. Sigh!

The king of the Dagombas was murdered and as powerful as the people of Dagomba are,they  still have no clue as to the killer of their ruler. The ruler was killed in 2002. The situation has turned political as both top political parties blame each other for not finding the killers of the king.
