From Richard Owusu-Akyaw, Kumasi
The President and Vice President of a Student Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Education Winneba, Kumasi (UEW-K), Mr. Andrews Amponsah and Obed Opinta respectively, have been interdicted.
The movement follows shady deals in tie with a squeeze of a 15-year-old German manager by a SRC. This was after Mr. Akwasi Boakye, Abdul Rahman Sanika and Gilbert Boahen had petitioned a row opposite a SRC President and his clamp for crack of law and trust in a squeeze of an over-aged SRC bus.
The row of three, comprising Messrs James Kwabena Adjei, Patrick Katamani and Isaac Obeng-Derkyi, unanimously postulated a ask of a petitioners, and consequently, systematic a SRC President, Andrews, and his Vice, Opinta, to step aside and relief themselves to a Committee that has been allocated by a Vice Dean, Mr. Michael Tsorgali, for investigations to proceed.
The interdicted SRC President and his vice are to palm over each SRC request in their possession to a SRC General Secretary but any serve delay. According to a SRC court, a train in doubt was duly alien by Samang Ventures as dealers from Germany, and that a covering papers have zero to do with Intercity State Transport Company (STC) coaches in Ghana.
The gangling parts, that were installed in a train of a school, were not indispensably meant for a train or a school, and for that a name STC in a request might impute to any of a STC firms in Germany. The row also learnt that a concluded volume of a agreement agreement is GH¢260,000, and a SRC had paid GH¢210,000, with a change of GH¢50,000 to be paid to Samang Ventures.
The 3 panelists disclosed that papers covering a coach were on a dim side of a Vice Dean of Students , Mr. Michael Tsorgali, who witnessed a contract agreement, and was done to trust that a train was purchased in 2007.
