Judicial scandal: Indicted Justice Derry sues Anas

Justice Paul Derry, one of the High Court judges who were caught allegedly taking bribes in the latest corruption expose’ in Ghana’s judiciary by Anas Aremeyaw Anas has sued the investigative journalist over the act.

He is seeking 17 reliefs from the Accra Fast Track High Court. Among his prominent request is “A declaration that the 1st Defendant (Tiger Eye PI) obtained the contents of the audio-visual recording unlawfully.”

The suit was filed today, Monday, September 14. He is the first suspect to have formally taken legal action against Anas amidst concerns that a lot more will follow.

The Attorney General and the Chief Justice were also sued as defendants in the suit.

The Chief Justice and the Judicial Council are currently probing the video evidence submitted by Anas and his team.

So far, 22 magistrates and judges who were implicated have already been suspended by the Judicial Council.

Anas is doing a great job for us Ghanians becus going against people of that high ranking takes guts, and Anas has proving to have that we appreciate. But my concern is that, are all the videos and audios obtain lawfully that will not bring about any disputs as Justice Paul Derry is doing now.....?

Hmm...... The best way to determine the case is to watch the videos ourselves" The State Vs Paul Derry" the last time i checked we the Ghanian people makes up the state. It is not in my Derrys hand to determine the case, The tiger team have already stated talking and agreeing with giant television stations like the BBC, CNN and others.....

If found guilty, all the cases they sat upon in the past should be retried just to make sure these corrupt judges did not sentence innocent people to prison because of bribes

Hahaha...you see these people o. They are not even ashamed after all this. but they are exercising their constitutional rights anyway... Let's see what the courts will say.

I believe Tuesday is just four days away, we will see what happens before then
