Mauricio Pochettino isn't giving up on being reunited with Morgan Schneiderlin, despite Southampton declaring they will sell no more players
Tottenham will this week make a THIRD offer for Morgan Schneiderlin.
And they may well face competition from Arsenal for the France international midfield player.
Southampton have so far re-buffed all approaches for the 24-year-old who has made it clear he wants to join the exodus from St Mary’s.
Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw, Ricky Lambert, Calum Chambers and Dejan Lovren have already left – and Schneiderlin wants to join them. But manager Ronald Koeman insists he will stay and has said he is fit for selection for this afternoon’s clash with Liverpool.
But Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino knows the player well from his own spell in charge at Southampton and is determined to bring him to White Hart Lane.
But Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is also an admirer of Schneiderlin.
He is ready to bring in two more players before the transfer window closes.
Sami Khedira, of Real Madrid, is on his list as well as the highly experienced Daniel Agger, of Liverpool, who can play either at left-back or in central defence.
But if the pursuit of Khedira fails, Wenger will turn to Schneiderlin, who would give Arsenal the height and strength they need in central midfield.
